Weapon Affinity can make or break a build in Monster Hunter World, especially in the late game. A few of World’s systems could benefit from a bit more explaining, especially with the new influx of players from the PC release, so here’s how it works.
Notes: Weapon Names in italics can be crafted from the 'Forge Weapons' list.; Weapon Names in bold are the final upgrade/s to that Weapon's path.; When a value under the heading 'Special' is in parentheses, this is the value of the element/ailment when the armor skill 'Awakening' is in effect. Higher Affinity values will increase the likelihood of dealing a Critical Hit. Neverwinter top warlock dmg. A successful Critical Hit applies a +25% bonus to the weapon's Attack Value when calculating damage. Feeble Hits occur when a weapon has a negative Affinity value. Negative Affinity refers to the probability of making a Feeble Hit on an attack. Affinity in Monster Hunter World (MHW) is the weapon's chance to deal more or less damage on attacks. Affinity is determined by the weapon and skills that are being used. This works on a percentage so for example at -100% you will always deal less damage. At 100% you will always do more damage. Please note that affinity ONLY applies to 'Raw Damage'.
While your main character doesn’t level up or progress in Monster Hunter World in the traditional RPG sense, your progress is instead marked by the evolution of your gear. You’ll spend much of the game working towards new and better armor sets and shiny new upgrades for your weapon of choice – and a huge part of the latter is the concept of Affinity, a special stat relating to weapons and their use.
Affinity is a statistic that helps determine how much chance a weapon has to deal additional damage in Monster Hunter World. It’s really important to the meta of balance and has a larger impact on the tail end of the game and the high-end, high-rank hunts in particular. If you need more help with other complex bits of the game beyond Affinity we’ve got a full Monster Hunter World guide – check it out!
What is Affinity? How the Affinity stat works in Monster Hunter World
Affinity can be positive or negative – meaning that a weapon with negative affinity will actually be more likely to do ‘weak’ hits that have reduced damage. Meanwhile, a weapon with a high affinity stat will have a higher chance to do an extremely damaging critical hit – and in some instances and builds, crits can even be guaranteed in certain situations.
Every weapon in the game has its own unique Affinity statistic – these can be a neutral value of zero or can be positive or negative. Don’t write off all weapons with a negative affinity value – for there’s more to it than that.
A major part of balancing out your Affinity comes in the form of Armor Skills. Armor Skills are powerful abilities that are part of your armor pieces that you equip, and many of them can have an impact on your affinity. Carefully balancing out armor against your choice of weapon can lead to a powerful build, such as how in many previous Monster Hunter games a combination of a Greatsword with the Focus and Crit Draw skills would lead to a near unstoppable damage output.
We’ve got a full list of Armor Skills on our Armor Guide page, but for the record these are the ones we’ve found so far that increase your affinity:

When you adept evade, you can change your orientation during the dodge. How do i uninstall and reinstall spotify on my mac. Just hold the direction you want to dodge to as you hit b, then after hitting b hold the direction on the circlepad you want to face at the end of the dodge. If you're adepting into siege mode, this will save you precious seconds.
krallendertotenGo straight for the Kushala gun (Daora's Delphinidae). It's the best general use Pierce siege gun in the game and generally considered the best gun in the game period. Rathalos armor is completely fine; you'll want to just get the High rank version and G rank versions when they become available to you. After that you'll want the Ahtlal-Ka armor, and then a mixed set tailored to your specific talismans.
Consider using the Meteor Bazooka as an in-between weapon to help you get to the Kushala one; it needs recoil down to use the pierce 2 siege properly but it's pretty easy to gem. Alternatively, the Hidden Gambit is a bit stronger but it's harder to get
Little tip: the guns I listed here have Slicing shots as internal ammo; use them to quickly fill your Brave meter by brave-reloading them and using them until it fills. Then switch to siege spam.
KetheresHidden Gambit has recoil of Some. This allows it to use all levels of pierce with minimal delay ('Average' would be enough for pierce 1, pierce 2 and 3 require 'Some') Adbfire mac 10.6 download.
asstalosOther HBGs you will look for in end-game are the Zinogre HBG (siege Para 2, 2 slots) and the Diablos HBG (requires RD+1 to enable sieging P1s and P2s, and has N2 seige as well). Could consider building these in the lead-up to end-game.
StarboardHunterFor HBG, you have your choice of two main guns, with a third situational one. Daora's Ceti from Kushala Daora, and the Orcus Quarcus from Hyper Zinorge. Both these guns seige Pierce one at its lowest recoil, and come with slicing internals to easily fill your brave gauge. Orcus has 10 less raw than Daora, but makes up for it with an extra slot if your build needs it. Plus it looks way cooler (which is worth the 10 raw by itself). The situational gun is the Diablastazooka, which is Diablos' gun. You use it for monsters with higher HP pools or on multi monster quests, since with recoil +1 it can siege Pierce 1 and 2. Other guns are usable, but those are the most common three.
Skill choices are pretty easy. You want Pierce up for the damage boost, Critical Eye +2/3 and either Weakness Exploit or Repeat Offender to push your affinity up, and Critical Boost to make that extra affinity even better. Shot Booster is a great skill to use, since it keeps you in crit distance longer and means you have to reposition less, but if you have to drop a skill, its the first one on the chopping block. As mentioned, Diablos needs Recoil +1 to function at its best.

Personal Rant Incoming
I don't like Neset Armor as a HBG. Yes, it's a fantastic set of armor. But without an amazing charm, it's less useful. I have a set using a Tenderizer +5 000, and I can get CE +2, WE, CB, Pierce up, and shot booster. Using Neset, I would need something absurd like a Pierce up +4 Expert +7 000 to do that. Yes, the extra defense is nice, but the requirement to get it can seem a bit excessive.

Anyways. Hope this helps, and it's always nice to see another Bowgunner out and about!
unknown, different threadThe Gore HBG will serve you well for a while. It's ability to siege pierce 2 and normal 2 is something a lot of bowguns can't do.
